Pascal's Wager And Guru Nanak's Jayanti

WHAT IS PASCAL’S WAGER?

It refers to the argument put forward by the famous French mathematician Blaise Pascal to help a person arrive at a decision on the existence of God. You better believe in God, argued Pascal, because if you are right, you stand to gain eternal bliss and if you are wrong it won’t make any difference, anyway.

But if you don’t believe in God, and turn out to be wrong, you are eternally dammed, whereas if you are right, it makes no difference.

CELEBRATING GURU NANAK’S JAYANTI

There is a reason why Sikhs have large bodies.

It’s to store their extra large hearts.

No community embodies the ‘more is more’ philosophy quite like the Sikhs.

A dance isn’t a dance it’s a bhangra.

A kali dal tastes more of butter and less of dal.

And at Gurudwaras, langers feed the poor meals fit for kings,

For free.

You don’t have to be a Sikh to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti.

All you need is an appetite for life
